On the cover of the June 2000 issue of U.S. Art Gallery Magazine, a bold and striking hippo gazes out at the readership of this
nationally circulated publication. In the feature article -- "Animal Art: A to Z" -- animals representing each letter of
the alphabet are shown.
The editors were excited to receive The Fat Lonely Blue Hippo for their article.
They had already featured my green tiger painting It's a Jungle Out There -
in the New Releases section of the May, 2000 issue.
After reviewing all the paintings, they decided to feature the hippopotamus on the cover.
"It's wonderful and everyone is thrilled about it," enthused Tracey McCormick, managing editor.
